                               RESOLUTION NO. 18868
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
                   PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE ST. ELMO AREA, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, TO THE INMAN
                   GROUP AT A CONSIDERATION OF NINE THOUSAND
                   EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE AND NO/100
                   DOLLARS ($9,875.00).
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       sale of certain property located in the St. Elmo area to the 
Inman
       Group at a consideration of $9,875.00, said property described as 

       follows:
            Beginning at a point in the southeastern line of
            Tennessee Avenue, said point being the southwestern or
            westernmost corner of the parcel conveyed to Georgia
            Industrial Realty Company by deed recorded in Book 672
            Page 269 in said Register's Office; thence south 66
            degrees 46 minutes east along the southern line of said
            Georgia Industrial Realty Company parcel and continuing
            along the southern line of said Georgia Industrial
            Realty Company property described in Book 201 Page 51 in
            said Register's Office a total distance of 610.70 feet
            to the southeast corner thereof in the northwestern line
            of Cowart Street (a 50 foot wide unimproved street
            right-of-way); thence south 23 degrees 30 minutes west
            along the said northwestern line of Cowart Street a
            distance of 195.55 feet to the northeastern or
            easternmost corner of the property conveyed to Inman,
            Inc., by deed recorded in Book 3709 Page 573 in said
            Register's Office; thence north 46 degrees 12 minutes
            west along the northeastern line of said Inman, Inc.,
            property a distance of 481.01 feet to the northeast or
            easternmost corner of the tract conveyed to Creed F.
            Bates, et al, by deed recorded in Book 1160 Page 509 in
            said Register's Office; thence north 66 degrees 12
            minutes west along the northern line of the said "Bates"
            tract a distance of 172.4 feet to a point in the
            southeastern right-of-way line of Tennessee Avenue;
            thence northeastwardly along the said right-of-way of
            Tennessee Avenue and with a curve to the left, said
            curve having a radius of 463.66 feet, an arc distance of
            28.17 feet to the point of beginning and containing
            1.250 acres.
